`YUVA` FABULOUS ACTION FEAST!
Posted date: 5/June/2009

Stupendous stunts! An MTR food equivalent sumptuous treat for action lovers! Kannada cinema industry has got a macho hero Karthik! Superb cinematography from Santonia Tarzio! Very melodious and foot tapping music from Gurukiran! Very advanced thought from director K Narendra Babu! Very fine performance too! What else you require to see this exhilarating, nail biting action cinema! Draw the money from ATM and go for this ATM – All Time Merry.

What muscular neatly curved Vishal is to Tamil and Telugu cinema, Karthik is to Kannada cinema. A Karate specialist and man with nerves Karthik has come here to stay. His ability to handle the stunts would easily draw the youth crowd to the theatres and female go mad about this fabulous action hero.

Jeevan Prakash alias Jeeva (Karthik) an engineering student accidentally hits a rowdy who collapses to leave to Harischandra Ghat. That does not land Jeeva in problem because of upright cop Shobaraj. The cop wanted that to happen. He quietly hands over the identity card of Jeeva that he found at the place where he put down a rowdy. That is the beginning of a huge action feast. In the college campus Jeeva punish a trustee son who has raped a co student.

Jeeva has done second mistake and he is handed over the TC. By this time Jeeva is in love with Sridevi (Madhu Sharma) brings him before her father Anna (Gulshan Grover) to bail out Jeeva from TC. Jeeva is handed over a pistol by Anna and he is shocked. Then reveal the flash back. Jeeva is convinced and it is time for song.

The life becomes very difficult for Jeeva. The Home Minister wants him to put down Anna and Dhoni the powerful two dons. But Jeeva replies to HM that he would put him down first and just ask him to set free to complete his education. It is chase, blow ups and crashes! Jeeva with Sridevi in motorbike over come all hurdles and finally his college mate waiting for revenge unearths another fact. He had seen the murder committed Jeeva. That is what Dhoni anger mounts up. It is finish of evil and the duo Jeeva and Sridevi are set free by cop saying he would announce Jeeva is dead.

In the debut film Karthik has done a marvelous job. His physique and knowing the Karate and training with Cheetah Yagnesh Shetty gives him additional edge. He is good in emotions and dialogue delivery is tolerable. He is here to stay in Kannada cinema. Chandrasekhar another youngster has shows his guts to have a stay in the villain department.

Shobaraj as cop is highly convincing. Gulshan Grover and Lal are not convincing as expected.

The beauty of this film is Gurukiran and pleasant treat for the eyes is Santonia Tarzio. The top angle shot for Gokulashtami song wherein Saroj Khan appears is very fine. The songs- title track, O Thavare Kendhavare Yee Preethige Sothenu…Swargane Vargavane Madodhu Yee Preethine…. Chinnamma Chinnamma thumbana Chali enadru Kodu Baramma are well choreographed and shot in the camera.

You ought to see this film although it has the climax of Kannada cinema ‘Mani’!
